Magna Carta and the Gardens of Eastern England
The Birthplace of the process for rights in England
The Pilgrims sail from Eastern England enroute to Plymouth and Cape Cod
On the altar of St Edmund’s Abbey the rebel Barons swore an oath that King John should sign the Magna Carta. 400 years later, Bartholomew Gosnold sailed on Godspeed to ‘discover’ Cape Cod. Based in Bury St Edmunds, this tour has time to explore its ruins, theatre and brewery as well as the glorious gardens nurtured by the rich soils of Eastern England.
